Another update here, according to Macrumors, this time it seems the Mac mini stands at 224 days since refresh, the average being 248. At around this time I would say it's best to wait if you would like to buy a Mac mini. Even though on the buyers guide it says "only if you need to" which is in fact correct. Could we perhaps see another late update like back in 2007? Where there wasn't a refresh till 2009. I doubt that as so far I can tell Apple has stayed on top of things with the Mac mini.

Tryten introduces a new Mac mini Security Mount
Everyone can pretty much stop criticizing the new Mac mini about the fact it features no Kensington lock slot, though for a device that small, Apple should have put one, because Tryten Technologies, a company which makes accessories, recently introduced the new Mac mini Security Mount. This is perfect as it locks up the Mac mini from all corners, making sure that the disc slot is still available when putting in disks, it features a technology called LockBar.

Mac App Store reaches 1 million downloads
The response from the newly released Mac app store, was immense! According to Steve Jobs, and I must agree with him. Topping 1 million on the first day of launch is definitely a sign that the Mac app store will have a positive future.
Now many won't have to worry about gaming on a Mac, because sooner or later we should see more of those intensive games such as Call of Duty, Assassin's Creed and basically most games which were played on the PC, on the Macintosh Platform. The store is also very cleanly designed and reminds me of the iPad app store, seamless to download and the selection may not be really big at the moment, but I can see it going past 100,000 some day!

Mac mini Server 2009 or Mac mini Server Mid 2010?
The Mac mini Server has been a great seller for Apple because of the fact it's very compact and great for small business and homes! As opposed to paying a lot for Xserve's and Mac Pro servers, the actual cost of the OSX Server edition is around $500 so the actual Mac mini is much cheaper and therefore a great value!
